Susan Gehlsen,BSN, RN

Executive Director

Sue Gehlsen is a registered nurse and has worked previously in the areas of Public Health and Women’s Health.  For over 25 years she has been in Health Care Administration, serving in hospitals in acute care settings and in the outpatient and clinic settings.  Her clinical expertise has been in obstetrical and neonatal care and in management, she has led projects related to building and remodeling clinical areas, staff and team development, quality improvement initiatives and program expansion. 

Sue loves working at St. Mary’s because it provides a challenging environment that provides services for those of great need-blending health care services with a spiritual calling. 

Outside of work she enjoys reading, outdoor activities and spending time with her family in Duluth.
